Prior to entering the Midwifery Education Programme, Susan had been involved with birth work for over a decade. While working as an assistant at the Windsor Medical Clinic, Susan realized a passion for working in the woman's health care field. Since 1996, she has been teaching Childbirth Education classes to the women of Essex County where she currently resides. After co-founding a midwifery consumer group for Essex County in 1993, Susan continued to work in this organization educating the public about midwifery and attempting to recruit midwives to Essex County. The group was finally successful and a midwifery practice was established in 2003. She is the mother of three sons all gently assisted by midwives
